The Episcopal Joint Nominating Committee for the Election of the Presiding Bishop has released a statement on its ongoing work in preparation for General Convention this summer in Salt Lake City. The Herald believes that the new Presiding Bishop must be a bold and innovative leader willing to take risks for the long-term health and future of the Episcopal Church. Adaptively changing the structure, finances, and budgeting will be major tasks for the new leader. In addition, the Presiding Bishop must be a strong preacher in order to cast a compelling vision for the Episcopal Church. This site will publish profiles of all the nominees once the slate is announced.
